Kingpins in Italy with "ears" in the police
Eight Italian policemen were arrested for participating in a network of drug trafficking, AFP reported. They were arrested in Naples. The arrests are part of a sweep against the spread of drugs, the agency adds. After it issued 16 arrest warrants, eight of whom are police officers. The latter are accused of drug trafficking, fraud, misuse of state funds. Officers were "informants" on kingpins, against which they have received certain sums of money and drugs, adds AFP.
